WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT MY FIRST SESSION?

The first session will be an assessment and get to know you process. Together we will define your goals for therapy and answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic process. The assessment process can take between 1-3 session and is unique to the person.

WILL TELEHEALTH BE THE SAME AS IN PERSON SESSIONS?

I have found Telehealth (video sessions) to be similar to in person sessions. PROS: It can be flexible with work, kids, transportation, commutes. CONS: Connection issues do happen from time to time, it’s not always best practice (the best, most effective platform for therapy) for every client. Together we will decide if Telehealth is a good fit for you!

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

I accept the following insurance plans: BCBS, Aetna, United Health Care/Optum, Cigna, Oxford and Oscar Health. HOW MUCH DOES THERAPY COST?


Private pay fee per session: $150. Average length of session is 50-55 minutes. I am happy to provide a superbill for insurance reimbursement if I am out of network. 

DO YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE RATES?

MY SLIDING SCALE CASELOAD IS FULL AT THIS TIME. At times, I may offer sliding scale (reduced fees) rates on a case by case basis. In the event my sliding scale caseload becomes full, I will work with you to find the best options for you including referrals to local low cost counseling resources. 

HOW LONG WILL I NEED TO SEE YOU?

This depends on the individual and their needs. Some clients need 3 sessions others 10, some clients have been with me for over a year. Therapy is not one size fits all. Your treatment plan will be unique to you and your voice will drive that plan. I look forward to guiding you through this process. 

ARE YOU THE RIGHT THERAPIST FOR ME?

I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to everyone. Therapy comes with no obligations. If you decide I am not the person for you, PLEASE don’t hesitate to seek another professional. I am happy to help my clients in this process. Never stay with a therapist who isn’t for you.
